‘Battlestar Galactica Isn’t Over Yet: Sci-Fi Series to Live On In Comics
News update March 20, 2009: Dynamite Entertainment will debut a new comic book for BSG and SciFi fans entitled “Battlestar Galactica: The Final Five.”
It will become available sometime next week as a four-issue miniseries
that ties directly into the television series’ much-anticipated final
BSG episode set for tonight.
The BSG Final Five comics will specifically focus on a group of five humanoid cylons whose true identities had been kept a secret from the humans, the cylons and even from themselves until recently for undisclosed reasons. The revelations in the miniseries will spin off the crescendo of the TV series’ final episode.
BSG and Comic fans can probably expect more from Dynamite in the future, especially with the continued success of other comic book series adapted from television, such as Joss Whedon’s “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.”
